Adults who like to ride, this one’s for you. Guest coach Paul Harrop is coming to Kimberley for a half-day adult dirt jump clinic on Sunday, October 4th from 9am-1pm.

Paul has spent years riding, building, and throwing himself at features in all kinds of settings. He knows how to break things down, help you find more confidence, and make those jumps feel more manageable. If you’re looking to clean up your technique, get more comfortable on bigger features, and reach your goals this is the time.

If you’re 19+ and want to work on jumping, getting more comfortable, on small and large features, making the most of your airtime, and learn skills you can take on the trail this is for you. And yes, this clinic is absolutely open to kids at heart.

After-school riding is back!

We’re getting ready to hit the trails in Kimberley and Cranbrook, and we can’t wait to see everyone out riding again.

A few things to pack before you head out:
• A warm layer, just in case the afternoon cools off
• A hearty snack to keep those legs going
• Lots of water
• Knee pads, if you have them

Bring your bike, helmet, and your stoke for riding. We’ll take care of the rest.

Think you’re too old for dirt jumps? Absolutely not.

By popular request, we’re bringing guest coach @paulharrop Harrop back to the Kimberley Dirt Jumps for a special half-day session for the 19+ crew.

Paul has joined us over the years to bring his slopestyle and big-air skills to our teen programs, helping riders build confidence, technique and style on the jumps. Now it’s your turn.

Spend the morning working on advanced dirt jumping skills, confidence and style in a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment and then take those skills back out onto the trails.

Will you be twice as likely to keep up with the kids on Magic 3 afterward? Maybe. Not guaranteed.

Tiny legs and BIG concentration.

Coach Alexa and Coach Aaron spent the summer getting our Learn to Pedal crew rolling and there’s been a healthy mix of wobbles, big smiles, proud little pedlars and some very serious bike faces.

The goal? Get comfortable on two wheels, build some confidence and eventually pedal away like it was no big deal.

Jumps, drops, and figuring out how to make them feel a little less intimidating for our adult jump clinic in Fernie.

Coach Creag has a pretty good way of making everything look easy which is helpful when you’re trying something that does not feel easy.

Breaking things down, finding the right approach, and giving riders the tools to feel more in control makes a huge difference. Once you know what you’re looking for, that jump or drop starts to feel a whole lot more manageable.

A few runs, a few laughs, and suddenly everyone’s riding things they weren’t so sure about an hour ago.

That’s the good stuff.

Meet Coach Nathan.

His love of riding bikes started young, watching Danny MacAskill and then immediately trying to recreate the tricks himself.

When he’s not riding or coaching, you’ll probably find Nathan camping, swimming at a lake, or, if there’s a good cliff involved, taking the opportunity to jump off it. Adrenaline is kindve his thing.

Want to know Nathan’s favourite trail? The obvious choice in his free time is riding Contra with the crew.

From #Fernie to #Kimberley to #Cranbrook, our coaches are the pulse of Ridetheory.

They’re here for the early mornings at trail heads, bikes lined up for another lesson, post ride celebrations, tired legs after a long day of coaching and countless moments that have shaped our programs this year.

These are the people who arrive first, and are the last to leave. They spent their summer teaching skills, building confidence, sharing community knowledge, celebrating progress, and creating a space where all riders of all ages and abilities feel welcome.

Every coach brings something different but there’s one things they all share in common: genuine love for mountain biking and the desire to share it with others.

This team is the reason our programs are such a success and we’re incredibly grateful for each one of them.
