Hey All—

What’s new in Cranbrook and Kimberley?

This year we are stoked to introduce our BYOP – Bring Your Own Parent Programs. These weekend and week night programs are designed for you to learn how we teach. Think of them as a really miniature coaching course. Think of them as a space for you to learn and grow alongside your kiddos. Think of them as a space to access support for your own riding, in real time, alongside your young rippers. You’ll be able to ask our coaches for support in your own riding, and how to best support your kid’s riding growth at home during these formative years.

If you’ve been wanting to learn how to jump a bit higher, traverse tech smoother, corner a bit faster, and ride flow trails confidently alongside your growing riders, we invite you to come join us in Cranbrook and Kimberley for BYOP.

4 week Bring Your Own Parents. Ages 4-6 Learn to Pedal. May 6 – 27. Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 pm

Hey young shredders—

Now is the time to get plugged in to our After School Programs. We still have spots available in Fernie, Kimberley, and Cranbrook. Our multi-week programs are not only geared to dust off the cobwebs and make sure your cranks are still spinning-they are a fantastic way to connect with like-minded youth and make new friends while working on your skills, and dreaming big for summer. Don't miss out!

“Dad, can we go to the pumptrack?” I’ve got to a

“Dad, can we go to the pumptrack?”

I’ve got to admit, with my hardtail still loaded up with the trusty winter wheels and lots of snow on the hill, I’m not super convinced it’s bike season. (At least a couple of days ago I wasn’t, anyways.)

Regardless of the always-fluctuating mountain weather, the hard work of Julie and Steve (local Kimbo heroes) has had our pumptrack minty and ready for your summer wheels for some time now—whether it’s a DJ, hardtail, bmx, or dare I say… scooters?

With another atmospheric river sealing the deal, you could have been answering the calls of your kiddos and out on the pumptrack for weeks now, by the time I’m writing this. And I do know that the other day in the Nature Park, I had not one, but several full-on dirt corners to sink my studs into. I’m sure there’s a couple more now.

So I’m asking you—when does bike season begin? Is it when rails to trails is ready? Is it when you can see more grass in your yard than windrow? Is it when the kids on the street are ripping by with their squeaky chains? Or is it when Eager Hill beckons the East Kootenays to its Star Wars themed door step… When is bike season really here?

Please let me know so I can tell my son the appropriate answer, next time he’s begging me to load up the bikes.

And while we’re at it, go check out our Spring After School Programs (and Summer Camps!) in Kimberley, Cranbrook, and Fernie.

We start rolling with those mid-May.
