Fernie Weekly After School Programs

It’s never too early to start building the stoke.

After School Programs

Ridetheory is offering weekly club sessions and enduro-specific training designed to encourage progression and nurture passion in youth. Learning amongst new and old friends, your kids will build confidence, inspire each other, learn the meaning of dedication and commitment, and be a team player – skills that can all be transferred into their daily lives. Aside from that, they’ll be getting plenty of exercise, fresh air and connecting with nature. You’ll be picking them up each week grinning ear to ear!

Our expert PMBIA-certified coaches will begin by safely introducing skills appropriate to the level of the group. The groundwork includes techniques such as basic body position, learning to pump, cornering on flat ground, and front and rear wheel lifts. We’ll continue to refine these skills each lesson and introduce new concepts.

Your kids will learn how to responsibly navigate different obstacles with regards to line choice, choosing features, which trails to ride, as well as the fact that it’s okay to walk away from some challenges. Our goal is to progress at a safe and healthy rate so that they can keep riding for years to come.

Lastly, we will teach your kids that without the hard work from trail builders, volunteers, mountain bike clubs and permission from landowners, we wouldn’t have the sport as we know it today. It is our privilege and not our right to use the trails. In addition to riding, our dirt jump sessions will include time spent watering and maintaining the jumps because as the saying goes, “no dig, no ride”.
